The results from the Silver Lake algae sample were analyzed and showed that the toxin level was below the federal and state standard for an advisory. Silver Lake will not be sampled again unless a new bloom is observed and reported. Algae blooms can change rapidly, so we will continue to encourage you to stay vigilant and steer clear of any suspect algae growth in the water body.
The North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality maintains an online StoryMap of HABs across the state and has updated Silver Lake’s status according to the sample results.
