The Wild Rice SCD held our high tunnel workshop on September 21st outside our office in Forman. Topics included in the workshop ranged from program assistance to utilizing produce. Jesse Frolek from Uncle Jesse’s Produce gave an inside look into what operating a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program entails and Keith Knudson from Dakota College @ Bottineau came down and presented on rain catchments, drip tape design, and a variety of other activities they are working on both on and off campus. Our 319 Watershed Coordinator Matt Olson presented on cover crops and integrated pest management both at this event and at the field day held at Dakota College at Bottineau on September 24th. The Wild Rice SCD would like to thank all of the staff, presenters, and attendees for making this event a success.
